Green Reaper

Green Reaper is a action game with some platforming developed during my junior and senior years at DigiPen. It boasted a team size of 23 by the end, including 12 artists. It was a three-semester project; for the first two semesters, I was the producer and a programmer, while for the final, I stepped down to assistant producer and programmer.

The game was made in UE4. I spent most of my time being producer, but as a programmer I contributed to the AI and various odds and ends. In the end, we made a very pretty game that I’m quite proud of. DigiPen is apparently quite proud of it as well, as they kept using it in advertising and left its style guide up on the walls for several years after us.

Learning UE4 was a good idea, but my junior year was so stuffed that I barely had time to do much programming. Therefore, I really cannot give a bigger round of applause for the rest of the team, who actually made the game. I especially appreciate the leads for keeping the project on track and coherent; they were the linchpins.

In the end, I met a lot of people through Team Slippers, including Adam Doolittle, whom I eventually made Word Age with. So, really, this was one of the most relevant things I worked on.
